Directions

While Red Raspberry Seed Oil has for many years been used as an effective sun screen, there are a few things you need to know in order to use it to the greatest benefit. It is not a good idea to use it when sunning on a sandy beach or on open water, the suns energy is powerful in these settings and it is best to use a commercial brand with zinc or titanium oxides. This is especially true if you have very pale skin and are prone to easy sunburn. It blocks around 96% UVA and UVB.

  • It must be reapplied at least every couple of hours, more often if the sun is intense (like all sun screens)
  • It must be reapplied after swimming or moderate perspiration. (like all sun screens)
  • If you use it on your children please monitor them closely to make sure they are protected
  • Apply a small amount to your fingertips and apply to your skin.
  • Work in sections, being careful not to apply too much as only a small amount is necessary.
  • Reapply every few hours, more often if the sun is intense, less often if it’s not
  • Safe to use on facial skin and children.

Obviously, pristine super quality ingredients are very important. Every constituent of a skincare product should be either organic or wildcrafted; ours are. Ingredients considered separately should all be what skin readily considers a nutrient source and non threatening; ours are. And lastly formulating an ideal skincare product is a lot more than just randomly assembling a list of good ingredients, it’s understanding the secondary and sometimes tertiary interactions and achieving the ideal ratios, we always do.

Works well! Feels great!

I’m a redhead with extremely fair and sensitive skin, this sunscreen is wonderful, it absorbs completely, and feels great. I hate using most sunscreens because they are goopy or tacky and they typically smell awful. I was resigned to wear long sleeves and big hats until I tried your sunscreen. Thank you for enabling me to show a little skin!

Not real sunscreen

Y’all. I love this brand. I really do. But as someone who works in dermatology and sees skin cancers daily... THIS IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR SUNSCREEN. Use something with zinc or titanium - no chemicals. This does absolutely nothing. Go check out videos where people use carrot seed oil under a UV camera. It blocks ZERO UV rays. There are so many experiments on this. It’s dangerous to use this as a sunscreen. Skin cancer is very real and I don’t like seeing this being sold as “sunscreen”. Not cool luminance.

I like it!

I broke out the first week of using this sun screen but it seems to have settled. I like more better than the regular mineral sunscreen but whether it will hold up on summer (hotter months) remains to be seen. Overall a good product.
