More Information

Orchid extracts, one of the most important ingredient in Nourishing Serum. are well known for their exceptional therapeutic ability to revive the look and feel of dull, discolored, or lifeless skin. When Orchid Extract, are included in a daily regimen, they provide an abundant infusion of moisture that will restore your skin’s beautiful and naturaly healthy glow.

Serums are meant to be applied before your moisturizer because they work in the deeper layers of your skin to deliver beneficial ingredients, while moisturizer keeps the upper epidermis happy.

  • Apply to a freshly cleansed and toned face. Pump a small amount onto your fingertips and gently massage the serum into your skin.
  • Apply in small sections instead of trying to apply to your whole face at the same time. Let the serum completely absorb.
  • Give your face a nice massage and finish with more Rosewater Toner if you wish.
  • Follow with your favorite moisturizer.

Tip: Applying after a spritz of Rosewater Toner will help the serum penetrate your skin and distribute more evenly without having to use too much.

    Benefits Of Key Ingredients

    Cymbidium Orchid Extract

Cymbidium Orchids, admired for their elegance, harbor a spectrum of potential skincare benefits due to their diverse array of bioactive compounds. While extensive research regarding their precise effects on human facial skin is limited, a detailed examination reveals overarching benefits, each intertwined with the specific compounds found within these captivating blooms.

Antioxidant Protection: Flavonoids and Phenols for Youthful Complexion

Quercetin and Kaempferol (Flavonoids): These flavonoids act as antioxidants, neutralizing free radicals that lead to oxidative stress. By combating free radicals, quercetin and kaempferol contribute to preserving collagen and elastin fibers, thus maintaining skin elasticity and firmness. This effect minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, fostering a youthful complexion.

Ferulic Acid (Phenol): This phenolic compound enhances antioxidant stability, particularly in combination with vitamins C and E. By fortifying the effectiveness of these antioxidants, ferulic acid helps shield the skin from oxidative damage, which plays a significant role in reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Additionally, ferulic acid may offer protection against the harmful effects of UV radiation, supporting overall skin health.

Anti-Inflammatory Support: Flavonoids and Alkaloids for Balanced Skin Tone

Catechins (Flavonoids): These flavonoids exhibit anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe and calm irritated skin. By minimizing inflammation, catechins contribute to promoting a balanced skin tone, reducing redness and discomfort. This effect results in a complexion that exudes tranquility and evenness.

Alkaloids: Although the specific alkaloids are not mentioned, alkaloids found in Cymbidium Orchids could potentially assist in alleviating skin irritation. Their anti-irritation effects are especially valuable for sensitive skin types, contributing to a more harmonious complexion.

Hydration and Moisture Retention: Polysaccharides for Supple Skin

Polysaccharides: The polysaccharides within Cymbidium Orchids play a central role in skin hydration. These compounds excel at attracting and locking in moisture, bolstering the skin's ability to retain hydration. This mechanism ensures the skin remains supple, preventing dryness and promoting a vibrant appearance.

Skin Barrier Enhancement: Polysaccharides and Phenols for Resilient Skin

Polysaccharides: By reinforcing the skin's natural moisture barrier, polysaccharides offer resilience against environmental stressors. This enhanced barrier function safeguards the skin, preventing moisture loss and maintaining its overall health.

Phenolic Compounds: Phenols contribute to a fortified defense system that shields the skin from external aggressors. Their protective properties, in combination with polysaccharides, result in skin that is more resilient and capable of withstanding daily challenges.

Collagen Stimulation: Phenols for Skin Elasticity

Ferulic Acid (Phenol): Ferulic acid, a phenolic compound present in Cymbidium Orchids, potentially stimulates collagen production. This stimulation enhances skin elasticity and firmness, thereby reducing the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles. The result is skin that exudes a revitalized and youthful appearance.

Brightening and Even Tone: Phenols and Flavonoids for Radiant Skin

Phenolic Compounds: Phenols contribute to creating a brighter complexion by reducing the appearance of dark spots and promoting an even skin tone. Their brightening properties result in skin that radiates a healthy luminosity.

Flavonoids: Flavonoids further enhance skin radiance by promoting an even skin tone. Through their properties, they assist in reducing the visibility of dark spots, contributing to an overall radiant effect.

    Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is rich in various components, including fatty acids and vitamins, that can benefit human facial skin. Let's break down the key components and their potential benefits:

    Fatty Acids:

    1. Monounsaturated Fats (Omega-9 Fatty Acids): Jojoba oil is primarily composed of monounsaturated fats, which are beneficial for moisturizing the skin without leaving a greasy residue. These fats help create a protective barrier that locks in moisture and prevents water loss, promoting skin hydration.
    2. Polyunsaturated Fats (Omega-6 Fatty Acids): Jojoba oil also contains a smaller amount of omega-6 fatty acids. Omega-6 fatty acids contribute to the skin's lipid barrier, supporting its overall health and protection from environmental stressors.

    Vitamins and Minerals:

    1. Vitamin E: Jojoba oil is a natural source of vitamin E, a potent antioxidant. Vitamin E helps neutralize harmful free radicals that contribute to premature aging and skin damage. It also supports the skin's ability to repair itself and maintain its youthful appearance.

    Benefits for Human Facial Skin:

    1. Moisturization and Hydration: Jojoba oil's unique composition of fatty acids closely resembles the skin's natural sebum. This similarity allows it to effectively moisturize the skin without causing excessive oiliness. It balances the skin's moisture levels, making it beneficial for both dry and oily skin types.
    2. Skin Barrier Enhancement: The fatty acids in jojoba oil create a protective barrier on the skin's surface, reducing transepidermal water loss. This helps maintain optimal hydration levels and supports the skin's barrier function.
    3. Anti-Inflammatory: Jojoba oil's anti-inflammatory properties can help soothe irritated and inflamed skin. It can be particularly useful for individuals with conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis.
    4. Non-Comedogenic: Jojoba oil is non-comedogenic, meaning it's unlikely to clog pores or cause breakouts. This makes it suitable for acne-prone skin.
    5. Softening and Smoothing: Regular use of jojoba oil can soften and smooth the skin's texture, improving its overall appearance and providing a healthy glow.
    6. Wound Healing: The antioxidant properties of vitamin E in jojoba oil can aid in skin repair and wound healing by reducing inflammation and supporting tissue regeneration.
    7. Anti-Aging: Vitamin E's antioxidant effects help protect the skin from environmental damage and prevent premature aging. It can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

    Sunflower Seed Oil

It is a widely used vegetable oil that offers various benefits for skincare. Let's analyze the components and potential benefits of sunflower seed oil for human facial skin:

    Fatty Acids:

    1. Linoleic Acid: Sunflower seed oil is rich in linoleic acid, an essential omega-6 fatty acid that supports the skin's barrier function, helps regulate sebum production, and maintains overall skin health.
    2. Oleic Acid: Sunflower seed oil also contains oleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid that provides moisturization and helps maintain the skin's lipid barrier.
    1. Vitamin E: Sunflower seed oil is a good source of vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that helps protect the skin from free radicals, supports skin health, and contributes to a youthful appearance.

Phytosterols: Sunflower seed oil contains phytosterols, which have anti-inflammatory properties and can help soothe and calm irritated skin.

    Benefits for Human Facial Skin:

    1. Lightweight Moisturization: Sunflower seed oil's lightweight texture makes it easily absorbed, providing effective hydration without feeling heavy on the skin.
    2. Balancing Sebum Production: The linoleic acid content in sunflower seed oil is particularly beneficial for oily or acne-prone skin. It helps balance sebum production and prevent clogged pores.
    3. Supporting Skin Barrier: Both linoleic acid and oleic acid contribute to maintaining the skin's natural barrier, preventing moisture loss and protecting against environmental stressors.
    4. Antioxidant Protection: The vitamin E content in sunflower seed oil provides antioxidant benefits, helping to combat oxidative stress and promote healthy skin.
    5. Anti-Inflammatory: The phytosterols in sunflower seed oil have anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce redness and irritation, making it suitable for sensitive or inflamed skin.
    6. Soothing and Calming: Sunflower seed oil's gentle nature makes it suitable for soothing and calming the skin after exposure to harsh weather or environmental factors.
    7. Collagen Support: Vitamin E and other antioxidants in sunflower seed oil contribute to skin health and may support collagen production, enhancing skin elasticity.
    8. Improving Skin Texture: Regular use of sunflower seed oil can lead to smoother and softer skin due to its moisturizing and nourishing properties.
    9. Makeup Removal: Sunflower seed oil can be used as a natural makeup remover, helping to dissolve makeup and impurities without harsh chemicals.

    Almond Oil

It is derived from almonds and is widely used for its potential benefits in skincare. It contains a variety of fatty acids and vitamins that contribute to its positive effects on human facial skin. Here's an analysis of the key components and their benefits:

    Fatty Acids:

    1. Monounsaturated Fatty Acids (MUFA): Almond oil is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, particularly oleic acid. Oleic acid helps to maintain the skin's moisture barrier, keeping it hydrated and preventing moisture loss. This can lead to softer and smoother skin.
    2. Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFA): Almond oil also contains polyunsaturated fatty acids like linoleic acid. Linoleic acid is essential for maintaining the skin's natural barrier function and promoting overall skin health. It can help improve skin's texture and tone.
    3. Saturated Fatty Acids: Almond oil contains a small amount of saturated fatty acids. While these are typically associated with less desirable effects on health when consumed in excess, in skincare products, they can provide a protective layer on the skin's surface, helping to lock in moisture.

    1. Vitamin E: Almond oil is a rich source of vitamin E, which is a potent antioxidant. Antioxidants protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals, which are unstable molecules that can contribute to premature aging and skin damage. Vitamin E also helps nourish and hydrate the skin, promoting a healthy complexion.
    2. Vitamin A: Vitamin A supports skin cell turnover and renewal. It can help improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. However, the vitamin A content in almond oil is relatively low compared to some other skincare ingredients.

    Benefits for Human Facial Skin:

    1. Moisturization: The fatty acids in almond oil, especially oleic acid, help to moisturize the skin by creating a protective barrier that prevents water loss. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals with dry or sensitive skin.
    2. Anti-Aging: The vitamin E content in almond oil contributes to its anti-aging properties. It helps protect the skin from oxidative stress, which can lead to premature aging, fine lines, and wrinkles.
    3. Improving Skin Texture: The linoleic acid in almond oil can help improve the overall texture of the skin by maintaining its barrier function. This can lead to smoother, softer, and more supple skin.
    4. Soothing Irritation: Almond oil's gentle nature makes it suitable for soothing minor skin irritations, redness, and inflammation. It can be used as a natural remedy for conditions like mild eczema and dermatitis.
    5. Makeup Removal: Almond oil can be used as a natural makeup remover. Its emollient properties can help dissolve makeup and impurities without harsh chemicals.
    6. Nourishing the Skin: Vitamins E and A in almond oil provide essential nutrients that nourish and support healthy skin.

    Very Nice and Nourishing!

I haven't been using this one very long, just a few weeks, but its very nice! Its light weight and I like to use it just after spraying the Rosewater Toner, so that it spreads better. I use it all over my face, but you don't need a lot. I have dry, sensitive, and eczema prone skin, and so far its been completely fine and has not caused me any problems. I also apply the acne serum over top and the Nite Butter as regular moisturizer. With dry skin, its not a replacement for moisturizer, but its a nice layer for added nourishment.

    Nourishing Serum

Goes on beautifully and moisturizes the skin without a greasy feeling. I've used your products for years now and they never disappoint. I am also glad that the skin care routine is simple and affordable.

    Very Moisturizing

I love this stuff! It is very moisturizing, but at the same time, light enough to be worn under another moisturizer. As the day goes on, my face feels softer as the serum really sinks in.

    It’s glorious as a breast serum 🍒

The skin on our **** are thinner and more delicate than any other area of our precious bodies. We must remember to take great care of our precious boobies too. When applying this serum to my boobies they instantly become smooth, soothed and particularly hydrated. It would get 10 🌟’s if it was scented with vanilla 😍

Hi Nisa. So many customers are using the Nourishing Serum as a breast cream I'm seriously considering introducing it under a second name as a Breast Cream. Thanks for your review! -kim

Great ingredients but it’s a cream, not a serum

Love the ingredients but this is definitely a cream and not thin like a serum.
