Now, we want you to know right up front that this is the only product where there is a synthetic ingredient. Red Raspberry Dimethicone is a piece of the Red Raspberry Seed Oil molecule that's separated out using very natural methods and completely without toxic residues and as such it is absolutely harmless. Because it doesn't exist in nature it is technically considered a synthetic. After many trials with and without this ingredient, we found that the shampoo preformed much better with it which is why it's in our formula.
Please consider that not everything synthetic is bad and not everything organic is good. One has to be careful and smart and vigilant with every ingredient selection. We don't use any ingredient lightly and we completely vet even the organic and wildcrafted members of our formulations.

Now in English :) ... it is a soft white paste wholly derived from organic coconut pulp rendering a mild and derived soap that creates a rich, luxurious lather that nicely and gently removes dirt, oil, and bacteria from your hair.

One of my favorite products is their clean shampoo. I’ve tried the unscented version and the Honeysuckle Vanilla and Clary Sage & Lavender scents. I have LOVED almost every single item I have bought from Luminance honestly. I love that everything is safe and not filled with nasty chemicals. Soooooo I thought for sure I was going to love the shampoo. Errrrr maybe I am the odd ball here, I have naturally oily hair and I had switched from longsheng rice shampoo to trying this and oh my, my hair just keeps getting oiler and oiler every day after washing and drying. Maybe it just won’t work with my thin oily hair so I finally gave up, it just kept seeming to build up after each wash..,.which I know doesn’t sound right at all. Even though I have had no luck with this product I literally love all their items. This one just happened to not work for me sadly.

You might try this before giving up on the shampoo. The shampoo has a built in conditioner that floats to the top of the bottle, this is why it has to be shaken so the conditioner ingredients mix. Give it one more try but first let is sit for a day so the conditioning ingredients float to the top, don't shake it up, pump 5 pumps to evacuate the draw tube, and then give it another try without shaking it again. What you will be using is the pure shampoo without the conditioning ingredients, which Im thinking are not necessary for your hair. Please let me know how this works for you.
When I first started using this, I wasn't sure how I liked it, it didn't give me that "squeaky clean" feeling I was used to. Now, a couple of months in, I don't know if I can ever go back! My hair is so soft, so clean, and it stays clean for longer. I have never been able to go more than every other day without a wash or my scalp gets oily and itchy. Now, I can go three to four days without a wash and my hair still looks gorgeous! I am so impressed and have already repurchased!
Love the fact all ingredients are pure & clean. Makes your hair very soft. Generally, for me that would mean dragging my curls down. This shampoo did not weigh down my curls. Happy with this shampoo.
I love all Luminance products! As a person with many sensitivities this company has been a lifesaver. I also recommend them to my patients with multi-system inflammatory issues and sensitivities. With this shampoo, my dandruff and psoriasis have gone away. Luminance, you are awesome. I want your conditioner when you make one.
For times when hair feels a bit greasy, apply a dilution of apple cider vinegar & water after shampooing and rinsing. Let apple cider solution sit on hair for at least a minute or two then rinse. This also works great when transitioning from traditional shampoos to one's like Luminance Clean Shampoo.
I bought both shampoos to test them out & see which one my hair & scalp liked most. Although both shampoos work great, the vanilla one is the best one. After using the vanilla shampoo my hair & scalp feel real hydrated. Also, I noticed a healthier, shinier & fuller look to my hair after using both shampoos. I am satisfied with yet another luminance skincare product, and I will continue to purchase the shampoo when it’s time to re-up!
