Red raspberry seed oil absorbs the sun’s harmful energy before it penetrates the surface of your skin. Red Raspberry Seed Oil offers extremely respectable protection from the sun’s harmful radiations without any of the very harmful ingredients found in commercial sunscreens. It does not have an official SPF rating but it provides a very respectable level of protection from both UVA and UVB when used properly.

Obviously, pristine super quality ingredients are very important. Every constituent of a skincare product should be either organic or wildcrafted; ours are. Ingredients considered separately should all be what skin readily considers a nutrient source and non threatening; ours are. And lastly formulating an ideal skincare product is a lot more than just randomly assembling a list of good ingredients, it’s understanding the secondary and sometimes tertiary interactions and achieving the ideal ratios, we always do.

I’m in Idaho on vacation and spent the day atop the mountain of a local ski resort at 7,000 feet. I put on your sun screen in the morning and was up on the mountain for 3 to 4 hours above the tree line..no shade..in the afternoon. And there was no burn either! It works! I was looking for a sunscreen for winter that is natural, and highly moisturizing. I have combination skin that is very dry in winter and have an olive complexion with hyper pigmented sunspots that get darker with any uv exposure. I use the product with a touch of zinc under makeup and my skin loves it. There is no white tint on my skin and I haven’t had any problems with breaking out. It feels great on my skin. The makeup goes on smoothly without flakiness due to dry skin. I am loving this product.

I stumbled upon luminance at the farmer’s market and got hooked on the products after I tried some of the generous samples Kim gives out. The sun screen is one of my favorites. (Another favorite is nourishing serum). I use it on my face under a high spf tinted mineral foundation and alone on my hands, arms and chest. It makes the goopier, more drying foundation go on smoothly and not cake up during the day and gives an added layer of protection. Unlike most sun blocks, it feels really good on my skin so I actually like to put it on. It’s organic and vegan and beyond with absolutely nothing bad in it and it’s well priced. Kim is always working to improve the line and I noticed this product has been tweaked. It feels lighter and seems to soften my skin even more than the old. You can tell everything is made with love and care when you interface with anyone in the company. 5 stars for the product. 5 stars for the value. 5 stars for the company. 5 stars for their customer service.

I have had a love, hate relationship with sunscreen my entire life. The chemical sunscreens not only make my skin breakout but they are loaded with toxic chemicals. The mineral based sunscreens that contain heavy metals like zinc and titanium dioxide make me breakout, have been completely ineffective in protecting my skin and contain…heavy metals! Finding Kim’s raspberry seed oil sunscreen has been so wonderful. Not only did my skin not breakout…ever…when I began using it but I love the smell and how it soaks into my skin without leaving my skin feeling greasy. Adding this sunscreen to my skin prior to applying my make-up also doesn’t affect the application of my make-up. They work perfectly together. Since I have transitioned to Kim’s products, I often get compliments on my skin. This thrills me since I grew up with acne that continued into my late 30s and I will turn 46 in a month. I am so happy to have this product. My skin is VERY sensitive and I can not use just any product. I have pale skin and I burn easily, I made this mistake of going for a four mile run on a hot sunny day. I used the sun screen and all was fine except the tops of my shoulders. They did not burn but they did get sun that I didn’t want, however that was my fault. I should have not stayed out for so long without reapplying. I really love this oil, it’s great!

Took a little getting used to the scent, but I far prefer this sunscreen to mineral-based zinc oxides. It’s effective and I will re-order it. Would be 5 stars if there was a touch of neroli or other pleasing essential oil, but I wouldn’t want that to compromise its effectiveness. Really like it.

I re-applied every two hours and my skin got a beautiful glow! I got a little red on the first day ( I am VERY pale!), but I think my shirt had rubbed off the oil where my skin was getting a little pink… love this stuff.. will definitely be only using this from now on! My skin was so soft, supple, and glowing so I didn’t need makeup!
