Discover Our Cleanse & Glow Oil

We recently asked our online community to help us rename our Acne Pre-Cleanse Oil. We wanted to change the name because it works beautifully for all skin types, not just those that are acne-prone. The name we chose was Cleanse & Glow Oil, a perfect nickname for a carefully curated selection of organic oils that helps to clear sebum from your pores, moisturizes lightly and keeps your skin balanced and refreshed.

How It Works

This is a blend of anti-inflammatory oils that was selected for the linoleic, linolenic, and oleic fatty acid profiles. Its unique composition mimics the makeup of sebum, your skin's natural oil, which, in excess, can cause breakouts and blemishes. Because the fatty acid profile of the oils is so similar, the product is able to dissolve coagulated sebum that's clogging your pores (blackheads) and causing breakouts, which makes it absolutely perfect for those who struggle with acne.

However, what we frequently hear from our customers is that the product does so much more than heal breakouts. It's a light moisturizer that works beautifully in the morning before you put on your makeup. It leaves your pores deeply cleansed, refreshed, and your skin absolutely glowing and supple. The reason this particular oil blend works so well is because it's simple. Just eight organic oils, nothing else.

What's In Cleanse & Glow Oil

Rosemary Seed Oil: Rosemary seed oil is a wonderful antioxidant. Blackheads, contrary to common belief, are not dirty pores. They are a buildup of sebum (oils) that has been exposed to oxygen, causing them to turn black. In this blend, rosemary seed oil helps to prevent your skin's natural, healthy and protective oils from oxidizing and creating uncomfortable blackheads.

Grapeseed Oil: Light, clear and thin, this non-comedogenic oil penetrates the skin with ease. The beauty of grapeseed oil is that it will tone and tighten the skin with nourishing linoleic acids. It's also great for reducing sun damage, fading scars and tending to dark circles.

Kukui Oil: Kukui nut oil is excellent for moisturization as it promotes the growth of new skin cells. Because it's rich in antioxidants, it can also help to boost natural collagen production and encourages your skin to slough spent skin cells as needed. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it a great option for anyone who deals with regular breakouts.

Sunflower Seed Oil: A light oil that's very rich in Vitamin E, as well as A, C and D. It's very moisturizing for skin, easily absorbed. Sunflower oil is especially beneficial for acne or irritation-prone skin.

Castor Oil: When it comes to detoxification of the skin, few oils are as effective as castor. It is quite similar to the makeup of sebum, which gives it the unique ability to dissolve excess sebum that clogs up your pores and glands. When used properly, it can disinfect and kill bacteria while lightly moisturizing and preventing future breakouts.

Safflower Oil: Safflower oil prevents dryness and roughness and removes dirt and excess oil. Its composition makes safflower oil a key treatment for issues including eczema, psoriasis and acne. Its hydrating properties lend skin a healthy glow, promote elasticity and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Meadowfoam Oil: Native to Northern California, the meadow foam flower is very helpful in keeping your skin balanced. Its composition is very similar to your skin's natural oils, so it helps to even out excess sebum without overdrawing the skin. It's the perfect moisturizer for morning use because it's light and dewy and will keep your face plump and glowing without making it slick or shiny.

Red Raspberry Seed: Red raspberry reed oil has the highest levels of alpha linolenic acid of any oil, making it ideal for anti-inflammatory purposes. Plus, it's great for UVB protection and has plenty of phytosterols, which help reduce water loss in the skin, allowing it to remain perfectly hydrated no matter what the weather conditions look like.
